$100 Martinis at Beyonce’s Favorite Restaurant Makes the Party Animals Swoon

More than 200 guests donned in “Summer Chic Attire” came out to B&B Butchers & Restaurant on Thursday, June 8th for the restaurant’s 2-year anniversary PARTINI with Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation – an evening full of music, dancing, food and fun.

Benjamin Berg, the restaurant’s gregarious and generous proprietor, hosted Amschwand’s biggest supporters, along with his best customers and several of Houston’s elite, for the private affair on the second floor. Guests were greeted with the option to purchase a branded shaker to be filled at the “build your own martini bars” which included vodka, gin, a cosmopolitan or a manhattan. The $100 shakers entered guests into the raffle drawing and 100 percent of the proceeds benefitted the charity.

The décor by Swift + Company featured white and green colors reminiscent of a rooftop garden party and the downtown Houston skyline provided an inviting backdrop as attendees enjoyed the cocktail music by Flashdrive, which included four string players accompanied by a DJ. Guests enjoy passed and buffet style hors d’oeuvres including cheese and charcuterie boards, oysters on the half shell, King Crab legs and more. Dinner buffet followed with sliced tenderloin, seared tuna, B&B’s Mac & Cheese and Lobster Fried Rice. After dinner, attendees danced to a fabulous 10-piece band provided by Richard Brown Orchestra while models from Neal Hamil Agency passed out glow sticks, sunglasses and other fun items to keep the party going. A hot dog bar fed the late night crowd who danced until the wee hours.

Lyndsey Zorich won the raffle item – an aquamarine and diamond cocktail ring generously donated by Tenenbaum Jewelers (valued at $16,750). Benjamin Berg took the mic and auctioned off a 12-course meat tasting and wine pairing for 16 people in B&B’s Butcher Shop, which went for $10,000.

The martini pull/raffle and the live auction raised more than $28,000 to help fund sarcoma specific research, and provide tangible support to thousands of men, women and children affected by the disease.
