Houston’s Thanksgiving Guide: 10 Restaurants With Great To-Go Feasts — and Pies

PaperCity by Jailyn Marcel – We’ve finally reached the time of year where grocery stores morph into a scene from The Hunger Games. Bumper carts commence as shoppers scurry to track down the most pristine turkey and scavenge the aisles for must-have holiday ingredients. Not to mention the hours spent in the kitchen after leaving said madhouse.

This Thanksgiving, leave the hard work to the pros with a grab-and-go feast. From roasted turkey and prime rib to festive sides and vegan desserts, here’s your comprehensive guide to ordering the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

1814 Washington Avenue, 832.767.4828, bbbutchers.com

Since its opening one year ago, B&B Butchers has crafted one of our favorite grab-and-go Thanksgiving menus. Proteins include the obligatory brined turkey ($5.50 per pound), of course, but the real star of the show is the steakhouse’s roasted prime rib complete with au jus, pommes puree, and Yorkshire pudding (Whole, $550; half, $300).

Add sides including cornbread and sausage stuffing, corn soufflé, candied yams, brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes, cream spinach, cranberry sauce, and giblet gravy ($60 to $110). Finish off your to-go feast with one of B&B’s house-made pies ($35) — pumpkin, apple, pecan or key lime. Order pick-up begins Tuesday, November 22.
